- Test your specific Vietnamese word in several styles before committing: tone marks on vowels like "ươi" or "uyê" render correctly in most styles but clip in a few compact ones.
- Short phrases work better than long sentences because Vietnamese diacritics increase visual density. A three-word phrase in a bold or wave style is more readable than a full sentence.
- The character đ (d with stroke) styles correctly in most categories. If a style drops it back to plain "d", try the next style down the list.
Common mistakes
- Do not use Zalgo or glitch styles for Vietnamese: the extra combining marks stack on top of already-stacked tone marks and make the text unreadable.
- Avoid mixing Vietnamese and English words across different styles in the same line. Keep all Vietnamese in one consistent style for readability.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do some styles drop the tone marks on my Vietnamese text?
Unicode's Mathematical Alphanumeric block (the source of bold, italic, cursive, and similar styles) contains only the 26 base Latin letters. The generator applies combining mark characters on top of those, which works for most marks but cannot produce Vietnamese precomposed forms like ầ (a + circumflex + grave). Whether a given mark renders depends on the font stack on the viewer's device. Styles labeled "aesthetic" or "popular" use precomposed forms where available and are the safest choice for Vietnamese text.
Does this work for Vietnamese names on Zalo?
Yes. Zalo renders Unicode characters correctly in display names, bios, and group names. Vietnamese users frequently style their Zalo names with bold or aesthetic Unicode fonts.
Can I style the Vietnamese letter đ?
The letter đ (U+0111) has styled variants in most categories because it appears in the extended Latin range that several Unicode font styles cover. If a particular style reverts đ to plain "d", that style lacks the precomposed form: choose a different style from the list.
