Turkish Font Generator

Turkish adds six letters beyond the plain Latin alphabet: ç, ğ, ö, ş, ü, and a dotless ı that pairs with a dotted İ, a distinction Turkish is one of the only languages in the world to make. Five of those six, ç, ğ, ö, ş, and ü, now style fully in every font on this page: bold, italic, script, fraktur, and the rest.

About the Turkish Font Generator

The dotless ı is the honest exception. It is not an accented letter, it is a separate letter with no mark to remove, and Unicode has never defined a bold or italic version of it anywhere in its decorative alphabets. Rather than invent a look-alike substitute, this generator leaves ı exactly as typed, in plain upright text, inside an otherwise fully styled word.

Step by step

How to use the Turkish Font Generator

Type your text, pick a style, copy it, and paste it wherever you want Turkish fonts.

  1. Type your text

Type or paste your text into the box at the top of the page. Every style updates live as you type, so you are previewing your own words rather than a sample.

  2. Pick a style

Scroll the list and find a style you like. Use the search box to filter by name, or the "only styles people can still search for" toggle if the text needs to stay findable.

  3. Copy it

Press Copy on that style. The styled text goes to your clipboard exactly as shown, including any spacing or marks.

  4. Paste it

Paste it wherever you need it. Because the styling is built from real Unicode characters, it travels with the text into apps that give you no font settings of their own.

Get it right

Tips and common mistakes

Tips

  • Turkish's dotless ı styles fully in every style on this page, and dotted İ maps correctly in the styles that support it: the result card shows which styles render each Turkish letter correctly.
  • For Instagram or TikTok bios in Turkish, use a bold or script style that supports ç, ğ, ö, ş, ü, and ı: the five most common accented Turkish letters all style fully in those cases.
  • If you need the sixth special letter (İ, dotted capital I), check the character count per style: the result card shows which characters rendered correctly and which fell back to plain.

Common mistakes

  • Using a style without verifying that ğ (g with breve) is supported: some Unicode Mathematical alphabets have no defined code point for ğ, so it falls back to plain in the middle of a styled word.
  • Expecting styled Turkish text to be found by a search on Instagram or TikTok: styled Unicode letters are different code points from plain letters, so a styled word will not match a search for the plain version.
  • Pasting styled Turkish text into a @username field: @handles are ASCII-only on all platforms, and even plain Turkish letters like ı or ç would be refused.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this generator support Turkish letters like ğ, ş, and ö?

Yes, for five of Turkish's six extra letters: ç, ğ, ö, ş, and ü all style fully in bold, italic, script, fraktur, and every other style here. Each one decomposes into a plain letter plus its own mark under the hood, so the letter gets styled and the mark is placed back on top afterward.

Why does dotless ı stay plain when the rest of my Turkish text is styled?

Because ı is not an accented letter with a dot to remove, it is a distinct letter in its own right with nothing to decompose. Unicode's decorative alphabets were built only for plain A to Z, plus accented letters that decompose back into that same A to Z, and ı was never among them. There is no invented substitute here: it stays in plain text rather than being swapped for something that only looks similar.

What is the difference between İ and I in Turkish, and does it affect styling?

Turkish keeps dotted and dotless I as two separate letter pairs: İ/i and I/ı. Capital İ carries a genuine combining dot that decomposes the same way an accent does, so it styles correctly. Capital I and lowercase ı have no such mark, so typing a Turkish word with the wrong one of the pair, a common mistake on a non-Turkish keyboard, changes both its meaning and whether this generator can style it.

Is the Turkish Font Generator free to use?

Yes. The Turkish Font Generator is completely free with no sign-up, no watermarks, and no limits on how much text you convert or how many times you copy it.
