Gujarati Font & Text Generator
Gujarati script descends from Devanagari but drops its horizontal headline, the shirorekha, giving every letter a distinct silhouette while leaving it with the same gap in Unicode: no bold, italic or cursive alphabet was ever defined for it. A name like નમસ્તે goes into this tool exactly as typed and comes out wrapped in a decorative frame instead.

A short guide
Understanding Gujarati fonts
What are Gujarati fonts?
Gujarati has its own Unicode block, separate from Devanagari (the script Hindi and Marathi use). A Gujarati font draws its consonants, the vowel signs that attach around them, and the conjunct letters formed when consonants combine. That combining behaviour is what makes a good Gujarati font harder to build than a Latin one, and it is why some faces render conjuncts more cleanly than others.
Unicode fonts versus legacy fonts like Krishna
This is the most useful thing to know, and most font lists skip it. Krishna and LMG Arun are legacy fonts widely used in Gujarati typesetting; they map Gujarati shapes onto English keyboard positions. The letters look like Gujarati, but the text underneath is really Latin characters, so it cannot be searched, cannot be copied reliably between apps, and shows up as nonsense for anyone who does not have that exact font installed.
Unicode fonts such as Noto Sans Gujarati, Hind Vadodara and Anek Gujarati store real Gujarati. The text works everywhere: in search, in messages, on any device. Unless an old workflow specifically needs a legacy font, type in a Unicode font and your Gujarati will behave like Gujarati rather than like a picture of it.
Serif or sans for Gujarati?
Serif faces such as Noto Serif Gujarati and Rasa carry more of a print feel and suit body text and traditional documents. Sans faces such as Hind Vadodara, Anek Gujarati and Mukta Vaani are even and clean, which reads better in interfaces, on signage and on small screens. Display faces like Shrikhand and Mogra are for headings and posters, not paragraphs.
Which Gujarati font should I choose?
It depends on what you are setting. This table pairs common needs with a free, open Unicode face:
| If you are setting | A good open choice |
|---|---|
| Headings and posters | Shrikhand or Mogra |
| Body text and articles | Noto Serif Gujarati or Rasa |
| Apps, websites and signage | Hind Vadodara, Anek Gujarati or Mukta Vaani |
| A bold logo or headline | Kumar One or Baloo Bhai 2 |
If an old document forces you to use a legacy font like Krishna, install it on your computer. For anything new, a Unicode font will serve you better everywhere the text has to travel.
About the Gujarati Stylish Name Generator
That is the styling method that actually survives a copy-paste into Instagram, WhatsApp or a game name, since it never depends on Unicode having built something that, for Gujarati, it never did.
Further down the page you can preview your text in real Gujarati font families, from traditional serifs to modern sans, and see which ones are free to use on the web.

Step by step
How to use the Gujarati Stylish Name Generator
Type your text, pick a decorated version, copy it, and paste it wherever you want stylish Gujarati names.
Type your text
Type or paste your text into the box at the top. Every decorated version updates live as you type, so you are looking at your own words rather than a sample.
Pick a version you like
Each result is a different treatment: a frame around the text, a line through it, an underline, and more. Pick whichever one fits.
Copy it
Press Copy on that version. It goes to your clipboard exactly as shown, including every symbol and combining mark.
Paste it
Paste it into your bio, caption, or name field. Because it is built from real Unicode, the decoration travels with the text into apps with no font settings of their own.
Or browse the font families
Further down the page is a gallery of real fonts in this script. Those are previews to look at rather than copy-paste Unicode, with a link to each font if you want to use it in a design tool.
Get it right
Tips and common mistakes
Tips
- Gujarati script is related to Devanagari and shares the same Unicode limitation: no bold or italic Gujarati alphabet exists, so framing is the approach that actually works for styled names.
- Use simple two-bracket frames for WhatsApp display names and Free Fire: complex frames can trigger the name-rejection filter in some game clients.
- Test your framed Gujarati name on both platforms you plan to use it: Instagram Name (max 30 chars) and Free Fire (around 14 chars) impose different limits, and a frame that fits one may not fit the other.
Common mistakes
- Expecting styled Gujarati letters rather than framed ones: the absence of a Unicode bold or italic Gujarati alphabet is a permanent gap, not something this or any other tool can fill.
- Using a heavy multi-symbol frame for a gaming profile name: the character limit is severe enough that many decorative frames leave room for only a word or two of Gujarati text.
- Trying to paste a Gujarati Unicode frame into a @handle: handles on every major platform are ASCII-only.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make my Gujarati name bold or italic?
Not by changing the letters, because Unicode has no bold or italic Gujarati alphabet to swap them for. You can frame the name with symbols, or add strikethrough and underline, which are the effects that work on Gujarati script. The font gallery below also previews your text in real Gujarati typefaces.
Will these Gujarati names work on Instagram and Facebook?
Yes, in the Name and Bio fields, which accept any Unicode, so a framed Gujarati name pastes straight in. They will not go in an Instagram @username, which is limited to Latin letters, numbers, full stops and underscores.
What is the difference between a Unicode Gujarati font and Krishna?
Krishna is a legacy font, widely used in Gujarati typesetting, that maps Gujarati shapes onto English keyboard positions, so the text underneath is really Latin and cannot be searched or copied reliably between apps. Unicode fonts store real Gujarati, so the text works everywhere. The guide below explains this in full.
Is the Gujarati Stylish Name Generator free to use?
Yes. The Gujarati Stylish Name Generator is completely free with no sign-up, no watermarks, and no limits on how much text you convert or how many times you copy it.
