About the TikTok Symbols

Tap any tile to copy it: no font applied, and no text of yours required.

Distinct from two other tools on this site worth knowing about: the TikTok Font Generator decorates text you type, and the emoji picker is standard colour emoji. This page is neither, it's a small set of monochrome Unicode marks you place yourself.

Step by step

How to use the TikTok Symbols

Type your text, pick a style, copy it, and paste it wherever you want TikTok symbols.

  1. Type your text

Type or paste your text into the box at the top of the page. Every style updates live as you type, so you are previewing your own words rather than a sample.

  2. Pick a style

Scroll the list and find a style you like. Use the search box to filter by name, or the "only styles people can still search for" toggle if the text needs to stay findable.

  3. Copy it

Press Copy on that style. The styled text goes to your clipboard exactly as shown, including any spacing or marks.

  4. Paste it

Paste it wherever you need it. Because the styling is built from real Unicode characters, it travels with the text into apps that give you no font settings of their own.

Paste it into the Name field, not your @username. Handles are part of a web address, so they only accept letters, numbers and a dot or underscore: styled text is rejected there no matter what.

Tips and common mistakes

Tips

  • A single symbol used once as a divider between two words reads more deliberately than the same symbol repeated on both sides of every word.
  • Stick to the Hearts, Stars, and Lines categories for the widest device support: they sit in Unicode blocks that essentially every phone renders correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will every symbol here show up correctly on any phone?

Almost all of them. These are long-established Unicode characters rather than newly added ones, but a handful of the more decorative marks (the CJK-style brackets and gaming marks in particular) can render as a blank box on very old devices. If a symbol looks broken to someone, a plainer pick from Hearts, Stars, or Lines is the safer choice.

Can I combine a symbol from here with a styled name?

Yes: copy a styled name from the TikTok Font Generator, then come back here and paste a symbol on either side of it.

Is the TikTok Symbols free to use?

Yes. The TikTok Symbols is completely free with no sign-up, no watermarks, and no limits on how much text you convert or how many times you copy it.
