Paste it wherever you need it. Because the styling is built from real Unicode characters, it travels with the text into apps that give you no font settings of their own.
Paste it into the Name field, not your @username. Handles are part of a web address, so they only accept letters, numbers and a dot or underscore: styled text is rejected there no matter what.

- A single symbol used once as a divider between two words reads more deliberately than the same symbol repeated on both sides of every word.
- Stick to the Hearts, Stars, and Lines categories for the widest device support: they sit in Unicode blocks that essentially every phone renders correctly.

Will every symbol here show up correctly on any phone?
Almost all of them. These are long-established Unicode characters rather than newly added ones, but a handful of the more decorative marks (the CJK-style brackets and gaming marks in particular) can render as a blank box on very old devices. If a symbol looks broken to someone, a plainer pick from Hearts, Stars, or Lines is the safer choice.
